  2. Sounds like she had a few brews before she called. Probably got thrown out for being drunk.

  3. We should be all free to use our phones in the cinema!

  4. That's awesome. And they actually made a video for it? Only in Texas, haha.

  5. It's a private theater, so they can do what they want.

In my youth, the ushers roamed with heavy flashlights and kept the peace. They had to. It was rough town with a rough bunch in the evenings.

  7. Alamo is easily the finest theater experience I'd ever had. They offer food and drink during the movie, unobtrusively, and they'll take your ass out if you talk or are disruptive during the film. They warn you several times, often by playing humorous clips to that effect prior to the movie. I refuse to go to "normal" theaters anymore.

  10. Fernando, nice. Wish they had that at my local, where tuts are just not enough of a hint.

  11. So she had the phone in silent mode and was using the light to find her seat? And she wasn't bothering anyone? And other customers could enjoy FOOD, FOOD AT THE THEATER, with FOOD SMELL and CHOMPING SOUNDS, but she couldn't use her phone for light? Sorry, looks like those guys are assholes indeed. You can bother all the people around you as long as you pay --for food and drink, to EAT AT THE FUCKING THEATER, gosh.

    Thanks for the info, Matt.

  13. Now now, we have heard her story and their story....but what about an independant witness?

  14. A company that takes your complaint, whether justified or not, turns it into a video, mocking your pronunciations, and then plasters it all over the internet, is not a very nice company.... but then again, it's a fake anyway.

  15. G, it could well be. If so, it worked. Look at the publicity they got. Smart.
